London Instagrammer uses paper cut-outs to create magical Christmas scenes in Covent Garden

A few weeks ago we told you about London-based photographer Rich McCor who had transformed the familiar sights of our city's landmarks into something else, using detailed paper cutouts. Big Ben was turned into a wristwatch, the London Eye into a bike and now he's at it again, with a festive instalment using the Covent Garden Christmas lights as a backdrop.

We didn't think it was possible to make Covent Garden more Christmasy than it is, but he has managed to make it appear more magical by cleverly positioning paper cutouts around the Market Building.

Using Covent Garden's "Meet Me Under The Mistletoe" installation as a backdrop, they are breathtakingly beautiful, original and oh-so festive.

Over 320 metres of garland unite the chandeliers, with nearly 100,000 pea lights suspended within the historic setting.

Illuminated with more than 40 mistletoe chandeliers and 700 glistening berries. McCor's Instagrams add a heartwarming touch to the scene.
