Then why not head out to one of London's best restaurants and let someone else do the cooking? (And more importantly, the washing up) Check out the best alternatives to Christmas dinner at home:

Duck and Waffle
Located on the 40th floor, it is the highest restaurant in the UK, featuring unparalleled City views and a menu to match. The Christmas dinner here is £85 per person, and includes dishes such as slow braised ox cheek, Jerusalem artichoke ravioli, and coffee and mince pies. There's also a 'sweet surprise'.

Fera at Claridge's
One of the more high-end options, this Christmas dinner is special. The menu includes all the big hitters like smoked salmon, turbot, lobster, turkey, lamb, Christmas pudding, chocolate and cheese. It will set you back £225, though.

Dean St. Townhouse
Whatever the occasion, Dean St. Townhouse fits the bill. Even if the occasion is Christmas Dinner! Set across a series of Georgian-era rooms, the menu cossets and comforts with well executed classic British dishes, and also includes wild mushrooms on toast with a poached egg, red wine-poached monkfish and tipsy sherry trifle. It's £95 per person.

Sea Containers
Like the sound of their roasted Norfolk turkey with crispy brussels sprouts, sobrassada sausage (a spicy, spreadable sausage), roasties, and sherry turkey vinaigrette? Then Sea Containers is the place for you! They serve a three-course menu with champagne and snacks on arrival for £110 per person.

Min Jiang
Min Jiang Chinese restaurant on the 10th floor of the Royal Garden Hotel is serving a Christmas day menu at £90 per person, including dishes such as lobster dumplings, black cod with XO sauce, braised osso bucco and pandan ice cream. There's also an option to add Beijing duck for a supplement.
