Jan 20th 2016 | entertainment | Written by Will Jamieson

As Dermot O’Leary prepares to host this year's National Television Awards from London's O2 Arena, we take a look at who deserves to win this year’s key categories – and who probably will:

Best Drama

Nominees: Broadchurch, Casualty, Doctor Who, Downton Abbey

Will win: Downton Abbey, hands down.

Should win: Downton Abbey. A worthy winner and the perfect send-off for it's final season.

Best Challenge Show

Nominees: The Apprentice, Bear Grylls: Mission Survive, The Great British Bake Off, MasterChef

Will win: The Great British Bake Off

Should win: Bake Off. It was the most watched show of 2015. Everyone loves it. We love Mary Berry. There was also a lion made out of bread. If that's not worth an award, we don't know what is.

Best International Show

Nominees: The Big Bang Theory, Game of Thrones, Orange is the New Black

Will win: Game of Thrones.

Should win: Game of Thrones. While the kingdom of Westeros may be up for grabs, this award isn't. Should be in the bag.

Best Talent Show

Nominees: Britain's Got Talent, Strictly Come Dancing, The Voice UK and The X Factor

Will win: Strictly Come Dancing.

Should win: Strictly. A vintage year however there's not much competition with The Voice waning and X Factor on it's last legs.

Serial drama

Nominees: Coronation Street, Eastenders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks

Will win: Flip a coin: Corrie or Eastenders.

Should win: Eastenders. That Bobby Beale storyline had everyone watching.

Best Factual Entertainment

Nominees: DIY SOS, Gogglebox, Paul O’Grady: For the Love of Dogs, Top Gear

Will win: Gogglebox

Should win: Gogglebox, because what's more entertaining than watching people watch TV.

Best Entertainment Programme

Nominees: Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, Celebrity Juice, The Graham Norton Show, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here

Will win: I’m a Celeb

Should win: Graham Norton Show should win as he continues to produce the best chat show around, however I'm A Celeb had a strong showing this year thanks to Lady C's antics!

Best TV Presenter

Nominees: Ant & Dec, Graham Norton, Mel & Sue, Rylan Clark-Neal

Will win: Ant & Dec. 14 years in a row. And who are we to stand in their way?

Should win: Mel & Sue. Someone else deserves some recognition.

Best New Drama

Nominees: Doctor Foster, Humans, Ordinary Lies, Poldark

Will win: Poldark

Should win: Poldark. He takes his top off and everyone likes that. Faces competition from Doctor Foster.
