Superyachts are becoming more and more popular among the super-rich. Figures recently released by Forbes show sales of mega-vessels doubling in the past five years alone. Designs are becoming more and more impressive, featuring everything from portable islands, submarines and even cities. SINTILLATE feature our favourite superyachts of the future.
The Streets of Monaco Dubbed the floating city, designs for the £244m boat were unveiled in early 2015 and feature key landmarks of Monaco including the iconic Hotel de Paris. There's also a helipad; mini submarine, speedboats, jet skis, swimming pools and Jacuzzis on board the mega boat, which accommodates 16 guests and sleeps a staff of 70. If that's not enough, there's also a go-kart race track that replicates that of the Grand Prix.
La Belle The first of its kind, this Lidia Bersani Luxury Design crafted superyacht has been designed especially for women. Decorated with fur, flowers and Swarovski crystal chandeliers, the yacht is meant to evoke a 'romantic and warm' aesthetic. Six deluxe cabins, which are all decorated in the same ivory and gold hues, sleep 12 guests, though it's the master cabin that's the most decadent. Outfitted with a round king size double bed and baldachin canopy, the suite also offers a separate private terrace. Guests will also enjoy a state-of-the-art spa area as well as a beauty centre, disco club, theatre and several bars.
Beach Club Why head to the beach when you can take the beach wherever you want. Those looking for a truly island inspired escape will enjoy the 92m Beach Club yacht. The main deck features 6 towering palm trees that surround a pool complete with luxury loungers. Two shaded decks overlook the tropical paradise below, where sun beds and several dining areas can accommodate large gatherings. An open fire pit on the third deck creates a beach-like atmosphere; what better way to watch the sunset than on the beach.
